SMART-SUM Future Ready Program

This Return & Refund Policy governs all enrolments made for the SMART-SUM Future Ready Program conducted under Student Education Diagnostics (SED) and its authorized partners.
By enrolling in the SMART-SUM Program, parents/guardians acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined below.

1. PROGRAM NATURE

SMART-SUM is a structured, diagnostic-led educational program that includes:
  • Pre-screening assessments
  • Expert-led live sessions
  • Daily interactive assessments
  • AI-powered progress tracking
  • Post-screening diagnostics
  • Certification and reporting
Due to the personalized and resource-intensive nature of the program, refunds are governed by strict conditions.

2. ELIGIBILITY FOR REFUND

A 100% refund will be issued if:
  • The cancellation request is made at least 72 hours before the official program start date
  • No assessments, sessions, or digital resources have been accessed
A partial refund may be considered only if:
  • The request is made within 48 hours of program commencement, AND
  • The student has not attended more than one live session, AND
  • Pre-screening diagnostics have been completed but post-screening has not started
Any applicable administrative, assessment, and platform usage fees will be deducted.
Approval of partial refunds is solely at the discretion of the SMART-SUM administration team.

3. NON-REFUNDABLE SCENARIOS

No refunds will be issued under the following conditions:
  • After 48 hours from program start
  • If the student has:
  1. Attended multiple sessions
  2. Accessed learning materials or assessment tools
  3. Participated in daily AI-based assessments
  • Non-attendance due to:
  1. Schedule conflicts
  2. Personal reasons
  3. Loss of interest
  4. Technical issues on the user’s end
  • Early withdrawal after program commencement
  • Failure to complete the program

4. NON-TRANSFERABILITY

  • Enrolment fees are non-transferable
  • Program access cannot be shifted to another student, batch, or future program

5. CANCELLATION BY SMART-SUM

In the rare event that SMART-SUM cancels a program batch due to unforeseen circumstances:
  • Parents will be offered:
  1. A full refund, OR
  2. An option to transfer enrolment to a future batch

6. CERTIFICATION & ASSESSMENT CLAUSE

  • Certification is awarded only upon program participation and assessment completion
  • Refund requests cannot be raised due to:
  1. Dissatisfaction with assessment outcomes
  2. Student performance results
  3. Comparative benchmarking data
Assessments reflect the child’s performance and are not subjective guarantees.

7. REFUND PROCESS & TIMELINE

  • All refund requests must be submitted in writing via official communication channels
  • Approved refunds will be processed within 7–10 business days
  • Refunds will be issued using the original mode of payment

8. POLICY UPDATES

SMART-SUM reserves the right to:
  • Modify or update this policy at any time
  • Apply revised terms to future enrolments

10. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY (IP) PROTECTION

All content, materials, assessments, methodologies, tools, reports, recordings, curriculum frameworks, AI-generated insights, and diagnostic instruments used within the SMART-SUM Program are the exclusive intellectual property of Student Education Diagnostics (SED) and its authorized partners.
This includes, but is not limited to:
  • Learning content and session materials
  • Assessment frameworks and screening tools
  • AI-based analytics and talent discovery outputs
  • Reports, dashboards, and certifications
  • Recorded sessions and interactive exercises

Parents, students, or third parties are strictly prohibited from:

  • Copying, reproducing, distributing, modifying, or reselling any program content
  • Recording or sharing live sessions without written authorization
  • Using SMART-SUM materials for commercial or non-commercial purposes outside the program
Any violation of intellectual property rights may result in immediate termination of access and potential legal action, without eligibility for refund.

11. STUDENT DATA & INFORMATION CONSENT

By enrolling a child in the SMART-SUM Program, parents or legal guardians explicitly consent to the collection, processing, and use of student data for educational and diagnostic purposes.
This may include:
  • Student name, age, grade, and academic information
  • Assessment responses and performance data
  • Behavioural, cognitive, and learning indicators
  • Session participation records
  • Audio, video, or written responses generated during learning activities
This data is used solely for:
  • Personalized learning delivery
  • Progress analysis and reporting
  • Pre- and post-program diagnostics
  • Certification and benchmarking
  • Program improvement and research (in anonymized form)
SMART-SUM does not sell or commercially exploit student data.

12. DATA PRIVACY & PROTECTION

SMART-SUM is committed to maintaining the highest standards of data security and confidentiality.
Where applicable, SMART-SUM follows relevant data protection principles aligned with:
  • International best practices
  • Applicable local data protection regulations

Anonymized & Aggregated Use:

Student data may be used in anonymized or aggregated formats for:
  • Country-level benchmarkin
  • Program research and improvement
  • Academic insights and reporting
At no point will an individual child be personally identifiable in such data usage.

13. MEDIA & SESSION CONSENT (IF APPLICABLE)

Certain SMART-SUM sessions may be recorded for:
  • Quality assurance
  • Internal training
  • Parent review or academic documentation
By enrolling, parents grant consent for limited internal recording, unless explicitly stated otherwise in writing prior to program commencement.
SMART-SUM will never publicly publish identifiable student recordings without separate, explicit consent.

14. POLICY ACCEPTANCE

Enrolment into the SMART-SUM Program constitutes full acceptance of:
  • Return & Refund Policy
  • Intellectual Property Protection
  • Student Information Consent
  • Data Privacy & Protection terms
